Victor Michael Stribling was survived by his parents, five younger brothers and sisters, Leon, Loretta, Tony, Rosemary and Richard Stribling; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Calvin Frazier of Duck Hill, his paternal grandfather, Ben Stribling of Bruce; ad his paternal great grandmother, Mrs. Lillie Schiele of Lambert. Sadly, “Mike” was the first of his close family to pass.
Awards
Stribling earned the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal Combat Medical Badge, Army Commendation Medal with First Oak Leaf Cluster for Heroism, Purple Heart, Vietnam Campaign Ribbon, and the Sharpshooter Badge with the Rifle Bar for his heroic actions during the Vietnam War.

Commemoration
Stribling is honored on Panel 39E, Line 13 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. He is buried in Pittsboro Cemetery, Pittsboro, Calhoun Country, Mississippi, as his body was recovered.
Stribling is commemorated on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Ocean Springs on Panel 45E
